The Ski Lodge Engelberg is absolutely perfect for a weekend away in the mountains of the surrounding area. A very short work to the Titlus ski lift and nice and close to the station. The staff were partcularly friendly and helpful. While the room is fairly basic, and the bathrooms are quite small, after a full day of hiking it does just what you need it to - provide a warm shower and warm cosy bed! I will stay again during the winter to see Engelberg in the snow - I'm sure I won't recognise the place!

Comfortable, warm, quiet, spacious room with great views. Friendly and helpful staff. Convenient location next to the railway station. High quality food in restaurant but portions a bit small after a day's skiing. Breakfast buffet excellent and lots of it!
Two things that could make the stay even better would be somewhere to service and wax skis (smoke alarm in ski room currently makes this difficult) and a laundry service or self-service washing machine.

Fantastic Stay with Really good Dining Options!
The ski equipment room, and I couldn't have asked for better access to the slopes. Just a heads up, request a lower floor if you're carrying heavy gear!

The breakfast was rich and excellent with a great selection of fantastic options. Booked a room with view. Actually everything was very good, my next choice again in Engelberg.

there is nothing much to write about this hotel. will not recommend this hotel in view of -1/ poor room upkeep[ the bathroom curtain was broken and lying on the floor when we checked in and it took more than 24 hours to fix] , poor overall service , no one in the hotel post 9 pm till 7 am to attend to any needs [ even in th reception]

We hit the classic Laub and Galtiberg, two of our all-time favorites. The vibe was so chill, and we never had to worry about cleaning after our flatmates. The staff was super friendly, and the breakfast spread was amazing, especially the fresh juices. The location is perfect for the ski bus, too.
One downside was that we were disappointed with the limited vegetarian options in the restaurant. After spending a good amount on our stay, it was like a small request to have a few more choices.

The breakfast (plenty and good).
In your web-site I read many positive comments about this hotel but I wonder if we were in the same hotel ... when we arrived there was no one at the reception and it looked deserted. We had to call a mobile number to get someone to give us the room key. The room (no. 24) and the bathroom are small and old. The decor is spartan and old as well. At check- out another surprise: the girl, inexperienced, did not know how to print the bill; she had to call the colleague and I had to go over after half an hour to settle the bill (having a commitment, I returned after 45 minutes to settle the bill, in cash, because they do not accept Amex; they accept mc and visa). I visited this hotel July 17, 2011.

Cozy rooms with fine mountain views. Limited parking made it hard to find a spot. The outdoor hot tub was a nice bonus after skiing.

The atmosphere was so cute, and the staff seemed like family. Our room was comfortable, with plenty of space for our kids to move around. The breakfast each morning was a good mix of options that fueled our adventures on the slopes.
Wi-Fi could be spotty in certain areas.
